ENSO_seasonality instructions from spreadsheet:

name: sst_boreal_winter

  1. read 'variable1' over the period 'time_model' or 'time_obs'
  2. change units to degC
  3. mask land
  4. detrend time series linearly
  5. spatial average over 'region1'
  6. select NDJ values
  7. remove time mean
  8. compute temporal standard deviation

    name: sst_boreal_spring
  9. read 'variable1' over the period 'time_model' or 'time_obs'
  10. change units to degC
  11. mask land
  12. detrend time series linearly
  13. spatial average over 'region1'
  14. select MAM values
  15. remove time mean
  16. compute temporal standard deviation

    name: sst_ratio
  17. compute the ratio sst_boreal_winter / sst_borel_spring

absolute relative difference between obs sst_ratio and mod sst_ratio
