Save "clean" copy of frames for optional use in endOfNight activities.

Perhaps a configurable option "Save clean frames Y/N".

These "clean" frames would include no text (Date/time, camera info, extra text file, etc) an could be used, again optionally, for creation of clean star trails and/or timelapses, if desired.

"Clean" images could be deleted immediately after endOfNight (or retained/uploaded/whatevered with configurable options).

Basically, can we get rid of this? :)

@Alex-developer Alex, can the module editor help with this, e.g., call the Save Image module, then Overlay, ... then Save Image again? There would need to be a way to specify a directory name prefix or suffix, for example "-clean" would save the files in ~/allsky/images/DATE-clean.

Yes it will. I have written a module that allows you to save a copy of the image to a specified directory.

The directory name can use any of the environment variables so using a combination of ALLSKY_IMAGES, DATE and CURRENT_IMAGE the user can save the image at any point in the module flow. When using CURRENT_IMAGE in the directory I only take the filename portion so ignore the path

So to save a clean copy of the image the module would sit first in the list and have a directory path set to something like

${ALLSKY_IMAGES}/${DATE}/${CURRENT_IMAGE}-clean

If the directory doesn't exist then the module will create it.

I originally wrote this for testing purposes but there is no reason I cannot put it into the main list of modules.

Of course something else will need to use the clean images and then remove them when they are no longer required.
