Upgrading questions

Hello,

I have a few questions on the upgrade:

1. in the documentation you suggest before upgrading to start with a clean sd card and to copy ~/allsky directory to this new SD card (to allsky-OLD)
   But what about the directory ~/allsky_modules? Should it also be copied to the new SD card? If yes to which directory?
   Asking because I use openweather module.

2. As you suggest to start with a clean SD card, I'd rather like to start with a clean SSD card from where I also will boot.
   Is that possible?
   Do I copy ~/allsky_modules to the SDD card to allsky-OLD
   And I run the installation from the SDD card?
   Will it work?

Also I think I found a small error in the documentation:
In the section "image an SD card", "Re-image an SD card but keep some files" point 5 the link to install Allsky does not work.

2. Booting from an SSD is possible, and several people do it. Once you boot off the SSD, you'll install Allsky as usual, since it'll be on the SSD. You can also keep your old SD-Card in at the same time, which makes copying from it to the SSD very easy and quick. You can Google how to do it, or if you have a Facebook login, ask on the Facebook Allsky group page. I'm pretty sure you'll first need to use the Pi Imager on a PC to put an image on the SSD.

Thanks for pointing out the bad link. I've found some others on the Wiki page, but once Allsky is installed on your Pi, the links are fine.

The allsky_modules directory is the the cloned git repository for installing the modules so you do not need to copy that.

The installed modules are located in

/opt/allsky

So you could backup that folder and copy it to the new sd card
