Hi Jochen,

I've been using FastWindowSwitcher for a month or so now, and it has been a life-changing experience. Super happy with it.
However, today something strange started happening. Whenever I press the hotkey to bring up the labels, they appear behind (rather than on top of) any open windows. (See screenshot)

In the screenshot above you can just barely make out which characters are in the labels, but this is only because I moved the firefox window slightly away from the bottom of the screen. Normally, of course, most windows will be completely covering the area just above the taskbar (e.g. due to being maximized), and in this case the labels are completely hidden, so I have no idea which letter to press to switch to my desired window.

I have tried to figure out the steps needed to reproduce this problem, but this "hiding behavior" seems to happen randomly. It does not matter which program/software the window is from (Chrome, Windows Explorer, Spotify, VSCode, etc.). That is, once the bug is happening, any window from any software will cover up the labels and prevent them from being seen.

Not sure if you are still maintaining this lovely piece of software, but I figure it's worth asking: Any idea as to what might be happening?

Markus

Just wanted to post an update to say that I no longer consider this bug to be a big problem, and have learned to live with it. It happens very infrequently (maybe 2-3 times a week), and when it does, I can just restart the application and then it works fine again.

I've written a small batch script to kill & restart fastwindowswitcher.exe, so that I can accomplish this app reset in just a few keystrokes.
