How to choose an empty value for a generated snippet field ?

e.g in JS type func and select ~func which expands to

function name(params) {
    
}

and have name or params be empty? I tried pressing Delete when the selection is over name or params, but this stops the tab / super tab behavior.

I want to say that the issue might be that you are in normal mode once you delete the default text, and then since you're not in either select or insert mode, tab no longer works. Going back to insert mode should do the trick. However, I may be wrong and your issue might extend further than that. Does going into insert mode and trying tab after deleting work for you?

Yes that works, pressing backspace then going back into insert mode and pressing tab works. Any ideas on a more ergonomic way of doing that? I suppose i could remap backspace to i to always go back into insert mode.

I want to say it's probably also possible to start typing right away and the default text will be replaced with whatever you inserted

It is, but again I'm trying to remove the default text / make it the empty string

I think you can create a snippet to replace the one provided by LSP then as I assume LSP comes with the default text.
