Was using ubuntu 15.10 and after a software update my system now boots into Kali?

I have to boot into recovery but a lot of programs and wifi drivers do not work.

After installing the kali tools I received a pop-up that a partial upgrade needed to be performed. Thats when it all went wrong.

Did you remove all Kali Linux repositories before updating?
