Trigger Resume-Timestamp

I have several playlists set to "Resume". I think, the resume time is triggered by "Stop"? If so, is there a possibility to trigger it on another event? "Pause" for example?

Why? Sometimes it happens that my kids use the "Pause" button and afterwards shut the box down. After reboot, there is no resume time saved and the playlist starts from the begining. Unfortunatly my box has no "Stop"-Button.
