Front page not displaying correctly #6663

Describe the bug
For several days the front page of our site loads as a very basic html page (see attached screenshot).

To Reproduce
Tell us what you were doing when you found the bug, or (even better) tell us the steps to recreate it ourselves.

Go to https://ethoikos.myspecies.info/

Browser: Firefox, Safari

Impact
It is a major inconvenience that users are not shown the front page as it should be displayed.

Anything else?

Some observations:

If I click on any of the links on the front page to sub-pages, these pages are displayed correctly. The same is the case if I directly open for example the media gallery (https://ethoikos.myspecies.info/gallery)
If I log in to our site the front page begins to display correctly.
