What is FellowDAO
FellowDAO is a self-governing organization aimed at helping everyone further improve their information acquisition efficiency by gathering community wisdom and uniting community will to help discover excellent subscription sources and creators. Through DAO member voting governance, outstanding creators and feeds across various industries and content types are rewarded through means including but not limited to $POWER.
Why we launch FellowDAO
With everyone's love, #FollowApp has reached over 200,000 users since its launch, and the more users we have, the stronger our sense of mission becomes. We deeply understand how precious efficient information acquisition is in today's increasingly severe information cocoon dilemma. Currently, Follow has over 350,000 feeds and 3 million subscriptions. We hope to select the best from these feeds and present them in different categories as lists, helping our users further improve their information acquisition and reading efficiency. On the other hand, we deeply understand that efficiently presenting more and better content is the core factor for Follow's future success. We hope to provide some rewards to these good content creators through community governance.
Meanwhile, many active members in the Follow community frequently offer suggestions and continuously discover better information sources. We want and need to combine their strength to incentivize content creators more efficiently together.
How FellowDAO runs
Basic mechanism:
The initial DAO Vault is established through joint $POWER donations from Follow and the community. DAO members jointly propose and decide which feeds and lists to reward in one Epoch. Each week is one Epoch.
Member composition: Initiators + Invitations + Applications, with member numbers between 4-8 people. Three permanent directors manage the DAO Vault multi-signature address, requiring 2 out of 3 signatures.
Member obligations:
Select a certain number of high-quality Feeds in each Epoch and decide on the incentive method and amount. Members will receive a "FellowDAO" identity tag in Follow Discord and conduct daily governance discussions in private channels. Permanent directors will execute the distribution of incentive rewards.
