Failed positioning of mouse cursor in environments with heterogeneous display scaling
Failed positioning of mouse cursor in environments with heterogeneous display scaling (DPI)
May 3, 2023
This bug affects some examples for EVE Online when used in environments with heterogeneous display scaling (DPI)
For example, on a Windows system with one display configured with 100 % scale and another display configured with 125 % scale.
The screenshot below shows how the Windows GUI presents the scale setting in general:
(The screenshot is not representative of the problem, as there is only a single display in that case)
In one such environment, we observed the program applying the wrong scale when computing the on-screen target coordinates for a mouse movement.
As a consequence, the bot repeatedly moved the mouse to the wrong location.
For now, I assume the fix will also involve changes in the BotLab client.
