Double Input Field not accepting data for Commanding

Trying to a send a command to an app.
Arguments for the command are doubles.
The Double input field is in Display is not accepting Double data.
The field shows up with pink dotted outline around it.
Data inside is
<loc://aspd4525_cpd_WD25d088b4_AirGasConstant("")>

It doesn't change, upon entering new data.
