Hello, I have the same issue in Ubuntu using Wayland. I downloaded from the PPA repo. Let me know if I can give you some kind of output for debugging. Thanks!

Which ppa?

Which ppa?

This one: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/manuelschneid3r/xUbuntu_20.04/

This problem doesn't hold in X11, only when using Wayland.

4.but if run some other sofeware.just like chrome or system setting.

if an X11 app is focused hotkeys work magically. Generally Wayland does not support hotkeys. You have to set hotkeys in your DE. (let it call albert toggle)

for reference #958

Works like a charm, thank you!

Btw, using the fix from the thread you sent (setting QT_QPA_PLATFORM to xcb) fixed things everywhere, except for desktop. Only useless extra info.

Best

Sorry to disturb again.

the issue is still in.

and the albert version is 17.2 now.

I can call the albert with hotkey when chrome or other software is running.

but when I was on the desktop hotkey is no use.

albert --report output please. Most likely a wayland issue.
