Hi,

I have just published PamUUID. It does not have all the functionality of pam_usb but can be used for authentication with a usb pen.

Here is the repository:

Sorry for advertising another repository here, but I think it's in the users interest in this case. If you disagree please just say so and I will delete it, or just delete it yourself.

I've created "yet another fork", combining all the downstream changes as well as adding more on top. You can find it at https://github.com/mcdope/pam_usb. I provide prebuilt packages for Debian based distributions as well.

Edit 2022: For Fedora and Arch there are now also packages availables, but only nightly ones at Github - no release versions. Though you can find my pam_usb fork in the AUR too.

Edit 2024: My fork is still alive. By now quite a bit of improvements got added, like multiple-devices-per-users and a much improved agent as well as local check. Right now I'm preparing proper SELinux support. Regular nightly builds for Debian, Fedora and Arch are available. For Debian based distributions there is a repository with signed packages.
