same issue here.
i tried it with a paperless installation of a friend. there it is working.

i reinstalled and updated my paperlessngx 3 times, i can do anything but not save changed i met to the document.
installed tcpdump on my paperless, if i hit the save button there is no packet arriving at the server.
nothing showed in the logs.

i have custom fields in my default documents, my friend don't. perhaps there is an issue?

ok i just tried to remove the custom fields on a document. after they were removed i was able to change the document.

also i noticed custome fields are not shown in the mobile app. as many other users have the same issue can they please verify they use custom fields on their documents?
