After installing the proxy, opening the Winix app returns the following error:

The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "us.mobile.winix-iot.com" which could put your confidential information at risk.

I am experiencing the same issue. I was able to retrieve the DeviceID a few months back on my first c545. I tried on my second c545 unit I just purchased and no go. Tried my first c545 again and there is no Winix-related traffic flowing through mitmproxy when I open the Winix app. Appears that Winix must have changed something on their end. Luckily the DeviceID from my first unit still works with homebridge.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm running iOS 14.7.1, Winix Smart app version 1.2.5, Winix C545 firmware 1.1.2.

You can get the device ID without mitm'ing by using this: https://github.com/hfern/winix

It'll hide the device ID when using winixctl devices but the full device ID is in the config file it stores in ~/.config/winix/config.json.

I wasn't able to install winixctl due to a deprecated pycryptodome package.
