Release under libre license

Please may the project be released under a libre license?
Some OS distributions such as Parabola cannot package games which are not libre.

Whoops! I missed it because it wasn't called something standardised like COPYING.txt or LICENSE.txt.

As far as the license headers in each file goes, it's not a requirement, but it's clear documentation in case a file becomes separated from the repo.
