How to recursive zod on z.object?

I have the following code:

import { z } from "zod";

const schema = z
   .object({
   	nest1: z.object({
   		nest2: z.object({
   			key1: z.string(),
   		}),
   	}),
   })
   .catch((ctx) => {
   	console.log(ctx.error.issues);

   	return null;
   });

const obj = {
   nest1: {
   	x: 45,
   },
};

console.log(schema.parse(obj));

and the output is:

[
  {
    code: 'invalid_type',
    expected: 'object',
    received: 'undefined',
    path: [ 'nest1', 'nest2' ],
    message: 'Required'
  }
]


null

But I want it to return data output:

{
   nest1: null
}

I could do the schema:

import { z } from "zod";

const schema = z
	.object({
		nest1: z
			.object({
				nest2: z.object({
					key1: z.string(),
				}),
			})
			.catch(null),
	})
	.catch((ctx) => {
		console.log(ctx.error.issues);

		return null;
	});

and then it would work but I may have more and more nested keys to do so on, and I want to avoid many many .catch() statements. Is there a way to do it?
