Story links to 404 page

As a future-proof fix, I wonder if it's possible (or not too impractical) to get the headers for the next few stories in advance and remove any that return a 404.

That's great, although we wouldn't have control over this on the android side. @nilnilnil is there a watrcoolr issues list where we could add this?
