Greetings,

Recently updated Signal to v5.59 on my system running Fedora 36 KDE w/ Wayland. As of this update, clicking on the Minimize button closes the Signal window as opposed to minimizing it to the taskbar.

Just noticed that enabling SIGNAL_USE_WAYLAND=1 through Flatseal seems to work-around the issue.

@bermeitinger-b Despite having found a work-around, for those running Signal without enabling the Wayland option or those still running X11 may encounter the same issue. Perhaps it's worthwhile taking a look, as Wayland support is still experimental (and has a few quirks i.e scrolling through contacts and/or messages is stuttery and clicking on Signal notifications doesn't open the app to the foreground).

Hey @bermeitinger-b . I found that this issue was reported on the main Signal git issue tracker: signalapp/Signal-Desktop#6117

This has been resolved with the release of Signal 5.60 👍
