https://github.com/hughsie/appstream-glib is in heavy maintenance mode.

We should be using:
https://github.com/ximion/appstream

For validation, metainfo creation, etc.

We also need to write an eopkg backend with
https://github.com/ximion/appstream-generator

To actually generate the the metadata instead of using appstream-builder in the do_stream.sh script.
