WebARonARCore on Android 9 #81
Comments
I have the same problem, and when i go in play store, i don't found WebARonARcore. Why? |
WebARonARCore is not in the play store; the focus has been experimenting with these AR prototypes, and not to be a production-ready app in the play store. That being said, we now have a working version in Chrome Canary: Augmented reality for the web |
I just reinstalled it and it's working again! maybe give it a try too |
Please, follow the steps described in the readme carefully. WebARonARCore
is deprecated (we are working on a replacement) and only works with ARCore
Developer Preview.
Thank you for your interest. We are working on something we hope will make
a great replacement for this project.

Are you, by any chance, referring to WebXR https://codelabs.developers.google.com/codelabs/ar-with-webxr/#0 ? After developing multiple AR applications I've been looking into making them more accessible and WebAR seemed to be the way to go, especially knowing how powerful ARCore and ARKit are. However I can't see any information about support of WebXR supporting iOS devices and anchors. Would it be wise right now to attempt to make a +- commercial solution and teach collegues to use it? |
As I have mentioned, we are working on a replacement for these projects and
yes, the idea is to base them on WebXR as it is where the AR based
standardization efforts are going at the moment. Cannot provide ETA on the
release (if ever) though.

The app says device not supported and quits. Used to work fine before the Android upgrade on my Pixel 2. What can I do to get it to work again?
