iOS device model, version and app version

Model Name: 13 Pro
Software Version: 18.0.1
App version: 2024.9.4 (there is no GH release for this?)

Home Assistant Core Version

2024.10.1

Describe the bug
I've seen several times after the app was updated on my iPhone from the App Store that my theme setting is set back to automatic.
I've got my iOS set to a dark theme (as I like that) and I have set the companion app (and also all other places I use HA) to use the light theme (as I don't like the HA dark theme). I believe that this setting should be persisted and not reset after updating.

The second issue I face after updating is that the Actions aren't working. I have for example (Siri) shortcuts defined that trigger actions on speech. After an update, these fail to run until I open the companion app, and go to the settings, go to the companion app settings, here I see all the icons on the left missing and showing a question mark, then I go to actions, I trigger an action from there and from that moment I can run the shortcut again.

To Reproduce
First time opening the companion app after an automated App Store update has happened.

Expected behavior
To keep my theme setting persisted and keep actions working without the need to open the app companion settings first

Screenshots

I haven't taken a screenshot of the question mark icons, will do it next time. Below is a screenshot of the action failing due to an internal error:

Additional context

The specific action that is in the screenshot above is defined here: https://github.com/golles/Home-Assistant-Config/blob/main/packages/ios/bed.yaml#L3-L13

I don't recall to have seen the theme issue on OSX (2 machines).

Thanks!

Had another update today, the app was back in (automatic theme, dark), and had to change it back to light.
Here is a screenshot of the companion app settings after an update, where you can see all icons are missing.

The light theme settings are only taken into effect after force-stopping the app and reopening it. If I pull to refresh after the setting change without restarting, it switches back to automatic (dark)
