I don't want to be rude or ungrateful, but I am frustrated with the way the issue "Battery notifications are dismissed too fast #178" was solved (I am not its issuer).
Taken from Mac's System Preferences / Notifications: "Banners appear in the upper-right corner and go away automatically. Alerts stay on screen until dismissed."
The iGlance's battery notification actually behaves always as Banner disappearing in few secs no matter whether you choose Alert instead; then, if you happen to be away in that moment (for a coffee, the restroom, whatever) you are for sure missing this useful alert that otherwise could help the battery last longer.
So, I think I'd better open a request to expand the scope of the "low / high Battery Notification"
Describe alternatives you've considered
If the dev follows Apple guidelines about the way Notifications work, there would be real three choices (None, Banners, Alerts) that let everyone pick the one that best suit his/her taste.

Hey @bailarin2020,
thanks for your feedback. #178 was focusing on a bug that would cause the notification to be only visible for 1 second. Now the notification is always visible for 4 seconds. Therefore, only Banners are implemented at the time.
But I like the idea to be able to choose the notification style. Maybe we can include this in #182
