As title says, this mehod only works when you're trying using Samsung Apps without login apparentely.
In fact, there is a problem with login at the time I'm writing this, preventing users from using their Samsung Accounts.
When clicking login, Samsung respond with "Error 500: Server error A. The length of a deviceSerialNumberText is invalid."

Step to reproduce:

  1. with winget installed, on PowerShell write winget install "Samsung Notes";
  2. execute one of the scripts (in my case, the startup version);
  3. install Samsung Account from Microsoft Store;
  4. open Samsung Notes and try to login with an existing account;
  5. login not possible.

Am I missing something that prevent me from loggin in?

You have to install Samsung Accounts and sign in using it. If issue persists, try uninstalling everything and redo it again. I have never seen this error before. It worked just fine on my side.

HI. I successfully logged in from Windows 10 without virtualization. Anyway, this time I tried it inside a VM and login doesn't work there. I'm guessing it's a VM-detection restriction or something not configured correctly. I will check it out.

In this case (inside VM), Samsung Account doesn't ask me for 2fa code.

Could be something missing in the registry of the Windows VM, didn't know ppl use Samsung Notes in a VM.

I'm experiencing the same. Samsung notes plus Samsung account inside Parallels on MacBook Air M1. Apps launch and if I use "login with QR code" it even says it logged in from my phone but, in Windows I get the same as above.

I just posted an issue about this.... didn't realize there was already one. I'm having the same issue with Samsung account. I too have a windows machine running as a VM in parallels on a mac. Do we need to somehow set the machine serial number to a specific length?

I don't have the complete answer but apparently it is possible to change the serial of the virtual machine. All we need now is a dummy serial number and we're good to go I think...
