Use http for tarball binaries

In the configuration of the package.json file to use node-pre-gyp

Is it possible to use or force the use of a URL in HTTP in the declaration of the binary object as follows ?

    }

we host a private repo that does not support HTTPS inbound connections, hence an option to bypass https requirement would be greatly appreciated.
