Host: Docker on OpenSUSE Leap 15.6
Version of Mautrix-WhatsApp: v0.11.1 (latest)
Version of Synapse: v1.119.0 (latest)
All official Docker images, no modifications done
Running latest WhatsApp-Mautrix as of 26th of November, 2024. Ever since the big update a lot of good features have gone missing unfortunately, but what annoys me most is the fact that profile pictures don't get bridged anymore. Any chatroom that I create is simply left with the first letter of the bridged user, no more the actual profile picture. Is there any way to get the bridge to behave like its old self again or is this a permanent change?
Also, when starting a DM from the bridge with the start-chat command, it creates a new room now. Strange, but what's annoying about that is now the clients start randomly grouping people I've contacted through their bridged matrix user ID into "direct messages" and the ones I messaged issuing a command to the bridge bot into "rooms", which kind of messes up the UX.
I really love your projects and would hate having to install a bazillion messengers on each device again just to stay interconnected, is there any way I could fix this? Thanks a lot in advance.
