Is there any chance that vscode may move to tauri instead of electron?

The question is in the title. I am just wondering what is stopping the repository from changing to tauri and getting rid of electron.
Also, I am aware about the fact that the entire repository might need to be changed to fit the change, but what other reasons may there be?
Not a suggestion, just a general question.
