Limit per value entered not being honored from configuration #312

I am trying to limit per the configuration of each value that goes into this field to a character limit of 15 - this value is not being honored. Is there something I'm not doing correctly.

Because we need every value to appear we need to cut the name off at 15 for consistency to ensure we are able to put the values into our system. I think my issue is related, but if it's not feel free to create a new issue.

I'm also facing this issue and we desperately need this resolved ASAP. Please help!!!!

I tried the suggest solution of uninstalling then reinstalling and it is still throwing the error “The field ‘x’ contains the value ‘Y;Z’ that is not in the list of supported values.”

@jbenton8 - do you have the field that says allow custom values checked? What you're describing feels like that issue and not the one I'm reporting.

No that's fine, I was just trying to help, because I'm not experiencing that issue.. do you have how your configuration is set up? and what version you have installed?

I'm on version 2.2.39 that came out in January 6, 2024

@jbenton8 When I look at your print screen what I see is that Line of Business and the multivalue - the multi-value is working but you have added BOTH the multi-value and Line of Business to your work item. Your Line of Business field should be set up as a Text single line field and your Multivalue uses the control so on the work item you only see one field. In my configuration above it uses the field Client, but the Multivalue control is also called Client. - Hope that helps you fix your issue.

@MOlausson - do you have any idea if I'm setting my own configuration up incorrectly. As you can see from my print screen I want it to only use 15 characters, but it is not doing that. Any help here would be really appreciated. Thanks!!!

@AminTi Any timeline for this to get released? Just ran into this issue again today so I'd like to let my team know when we will have a resolution available.
