New datetime function does not allow localisation support for month names

Greetings. I just updated Minimal Mistakes to the latest version and was thrilled to see that the datetime formats could be exported to the config.yml file in here: #2844 ... only to see that, once again, month names are still kept in English.

Is there any chance those month names could be changed within Minimal Mistakes, as part of the app? I already have a weird code a friend made for me for this case, but I think it would be nice if this issue could be made easier for everyone.
