I've a DSM220+ and two days ago I've updated to DSM 7.2.2-72806. Since this update Cloudflare DDNS not working anymore. I tried to update only one hostname and I always get this error msg:
SYSTEM: System failed to register [89.246.xxx.yyy] to [hostname.net] in DDNS server [Cloudflare] because of [The format of hostname is not correct].
If I try to insert two hostnames separated with | (e.g. hostname.net|www.hostname.net) this field in DSM is marked with a red border, and it's not possible to save this entry.
I've used for years the other script where both hostnames were separated with --- (e.g. hostname.net---www.hostname.net). This is possible to enter, but it's not working. At the moment, I update daily the DDNS IP manually.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
The script works well, double check you settings again and make sure that your domains are separated by | symbol. Also remember to use the Username/Email input field instead of Hostname
Ok, I found my mistake: I've added my mailadresse in the field "Username" and in "Hostname" the name of the host I like to update. Sorry for the confusion. :(
