Citer doesn't s work if square brackets are removed from YAML

If I use a single citation .bib file without square brackets the autocomplete function doesn't work.
Is there a solution without using square brackets?

Thanks for creating this issue. It finally motivated me to something about it.

The latest release should now work without the square brackets.

Multiple files can also be specified as a list, e.g.

bibliography:
  - path/to/one.bib
  - path/to/another.bib
