  • I am using "@nuxtjs/i18n": "^9.1.0"
  • I have a composable function useXXXXX in ./app/composables/useXXXXX.ts
  • I have a defineI18nLocale in i18n/locales/en.ts
  • The useXXXXX is used inside the defineI18nLocale composable

I get the error message

ERROR Failed locale loading: useXXXXX is not defined

only appears when I have typedOptionsAndMessages present (either all or default) in nuxt.config.ts

experimental: { typedOptionsAndMessages: "all" }

My Nuxt info:

- Operating System: Darwin
- Node Version: v22.3.0
- Nuxt Version: 3.14.1592
- CLI Version: 3.16.0
- Nitro Version: 2.10.4
- Package Manager: [email protected]
- Builder: -
- User Config: default
- Runtime Modules: @vite-pwa/[email protected], @vueuse/[email protected], @nuxtjs/[email protected], @nuxt/[email protected], @pinia/[email protected], @nuxtjs/[email protected], @nuxtjs/[email protected], @formkit/[email protected]
- Build Modules: -

However, even when I get the error message everything works fine as expected so could it be a false alarm?

Would you be able to provide a reproduction? 🙏

More info

Why do I need to provide a reproduction?

Reproductions make it possible for us to triage and fix issues quickly with a relatively small team. It helps us discover the source of the problem, and also can reveal assumptions you or we might be making.

What will happen?

If you've provided a reproduction, we'll remove the label and try to reproduce the issue. If we can, we'll mark it as a bug and prioritise it based on its severity and how many people we think it might affect.

If needs reproduction labeled issues don't receive any substantial activity (e.g., new comments featuring a reproduction link), we'll close them. That's not because we don't care! At any point, feel free to comment with a reproduction and we'll reopen it.

How can I create a reproduction?

We have a couple of templates for starting with a minimal reproduction:

👉 Reproduction starter (v8 and higher)
👉 Reproduction starter (edge)

A public GitHub repository is also perfect. 👌

Please ensure that the reproduction is as minimal as possible. See more details in our guide.

No problems, This is the reproduction

also FYI,
I tried to use i18n v9 in
👉 Reproduction starter (v8 and higher)
👉 Reproduction starter (edge)
to do the reproduction but it is stuck on ➜ Local: http://localhost:3000/ and then not doing anything else not sure if it is node 18 used in stackblitz causing this or something else, it works fine in codesandbox (node v.20)
