more fundamental issue this -- but it looks like android (at least) will reconnect to PAWS SSID but requires the user to manually reconnect to the VPN (including recalling their password). this is a sub-optimal user experience for citizens, to say the least...

Is this relating to connecting to a single PAWS AP, where you connect to the AP then the VPN or is this relation to moving from one PAWS AP to another ?

If this the first, my understanding was that we were planning to get people to connect to PAWS SSID then connect to VPN

I'm connect to the VPN server atm via an android device and there is an opinion to save the password. Tested on a nexus 4 android version 4.2.2

(keep the feedback coming via github issues :))

So with the android, the router + Internet works fine via the VPN?

User has to manually reconnect to VPN and its a mobile device problem which
we decided we cant solve.

yes, i was just flagging this as it's clearly something that needs addressing in the future if our current approach is to actually be a viable way to provide PAWS.

cf. mac's comments for iOS on mailing list (Re: [horizon-paws] PAWS 'user experience', 2013-04-06).
