Doesn't seem to work with iOS 18 nor MacOS Sequoia #532
Comments
Similar issue here, setup has worked for a long time. Other non-updated devices continue to work, this, on the other does exactly as listed above. I don't see any known issues inside of the feedback/release notes from Apple as well Update: looks like AirPlay 1 is just broken in iOS 18 |
Probably they have removed support for AirPlay1, so it's over |
Same issue here. Logs from the iOS console don't help much sadly.
|
I don't see AirPlay 1 listed in as deprecated, but I'll dig through and cut a ticket in Apple feedback. I suggest others do the same |
I'll wait till iOS18 is released. It happened a few times in the past that they broke something in bêta and fixed it for release. |
just wondering if you guys had any ideas, happy to wait in the betas but would be nice to be able to solve this sooner, seems to be by that error that maybe there needs to be new data retuned to IOS, but you guys know best |
Just fyi I ended up downgrading from the beta entirely which is not too bad if you have an icloud backup and a mac. My watch however had to be sent into "repair" as they couldn't even downgrade it in the apple store. Thanks for sending in tickets and getting this closer to being resolved :) |
Still an issue with iOS 18 beta 3, so hopefully beta 4 gets the fix! |
Seems fixed with beta 4 |
Can confirm that it works like before on dev beta 5 (build 22A5326f) |
For me it is working with iOS 18 and version 1.8.3 of airupnp/aircast. No problems so far |
I hate myself for always doing this every year and instantly grabbing the developer betas for my Apple devices as soon as I see one shiny new feature in the keynotes, but here I am. When trying to airplay from my iPhone 15, it first doesn't connect, then does, but disconnects as soon as I try to play something. On Mac it just instantly says it couldn't connect.
I got it working successfully with my work iPhone SE on iOS 17.5.1.
