Is it possible to run Talos on VMware ESXi without vCenter?

Hi! I'm new to both Talos and VMware so hopefully this question makes sense.

I tried to follow through the installation guide in the documentation for installing talos on VMware but it seemed like the installation guide was meant for the VMware VCenter but not standalone ESXi, like using content library (govc library.create, govc library.deploy) which is part of vCenter but not offered by ESXi. So that lead me to wondering if it's possible to run Talos on ESXi without vCenter

I tried deploying a new virtual machine using OVA file that I found from this release but it gave an error while trying to boot up:

This host does not support Intel VT-x.
This host does not support "Intel EPT" hardware assisted MMU virtualization.
This host appears to be running in a virtual machine with VHV disabled. Ensure that VHV is enabled in the virtual machine configuration file.
VMware ESX does not support the user level monitor on this host.
Module 'MonitorMode' power on failed.
Failed to start the virtual machine.

I think this might be due to me running vmware esxi using vmware fusion on my macbook (intel chip) for testing purpose. Regardless of this, I'm just wondering if I can run talos on vmware esxi without using vCenter

Alright, I managed to resolve the error message I was having, which turned out to be not related to Talos at all (should have investigated more before posting 😅)

It seems like I can set up talos without vCenter; simply create new VM using OVA file from github release and then follow through rest of documentation.
