Open current directory in new terminal tab

For example, I'm in react project directory and I want to open it in new tab quickly for start or editing. I don't believe it's not possible. Thanks a lot for any advice

Change your key binding from T to whatever you want, and set your terminal executable where it says kitty

The code did not work for me. It just simply opens a new kitty window rather than a new tab at the current directory. What am I missing?

I think the goal was to avoid calling the default blocking shell command, because it opens the terminal "over" yazi, and he wanted to be able to open a terminal "outside" of yazi. If you want to open a new shell in another tab of your terminal, that is something that depends on the terminal and its command line options.

For example, kitty doesn't have a command line option to open a tab in the current terminal, but it has some launch command you can probably script.

But as I said, what you want to do is terminal dependent, unrelated to yazi.
