led control midi out

hello petter.

I have a matrix of 5x9 buttons that include leds.
The leds are connected through a max 7219.

I have been taking the documentation to control led but could only find control over incoming midi notes.

I need to be able to control the lighting of each led depending on the button that is pressed (note sent) and at the same time that they work in blocks so that a sent note turns on the led of its button and turns off the rest of the leds of its group of buttons.

Could you tell me if you have something implemented in your magnificent library that can help me?
