Issue with Ventrian NewsArticles RSS Import with older TLS 1.0?

is it possible that the Ventiran NewsArticle code uses an older TLS 1.0 method when connecting for the RSS feed import process?

We recently began receiving this error message in the logs of the import process for a feed service which previously worked:
rssSystem.Net.WebException: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

confirming with a scan from ssllabs shows that this specific RSS feed no longer accepts any connection below TLS 1.2
