The option should be under the app menu's Tools/Displays and Virtual Screens.

The feature only works with Apple Silicon Macs. The app looks for an USB device with a vendor ID of 0x06CB (Synaptics), product ID 0x7100. You can check System Information to see if the adapter's firmware matches this. If not, you might have a different chip inside or running a firmware that altered the vendor/model ID.
