I use a VMM7100 cable from MOSHOU to connect my LG C2, but the screen often fails to wake up unless I unplug and replug the cable. I’ve been troubled by this issue for a long time, and only today did I notice that BetterDisplay can solve this problem by resetting the VMM7100. However, I can’t find this option in the program, it seems like it doesn’t recognize my cable as VMM7100. Do I still have a chance to make it support this feature? This is very important to me. |

The option should be under the app menu's Tools/Displays and Virtual Screens. The feature only works with Apple Silicon Macs. The app looks for an USB device with a vendor ID of 0x06CB (Synaptics), product ID 0x7100. You can check System Information to see if the adapter's firmware matches this. If not, you might have a different chip inside or running a firmware that altered the vendor/model ID. |
