I have a Macbook M1 and two external monitors DELL P2421DC. Unfortunately, I could only control one external monitor with the Macbook, so I can use DisplayLink Manager to control the second monitor virtually. This works well. I would like to try to create a virtual large 32:9 screen from the two external monitors, as I have individual programs that I would like to run on a larger screen. This would save me having to buy an ultra wide curved monitor. ChatGPT helped me find the BetterDisplay app. Chat GPT says my request should be possible, but unfortunately I can't manage to set up a virtual screen that spans both monitors (one of which is only available virtually via Display Link). Can you please help me and tell me if it is possible at all and if so, how I have to make the settings? Many thanks and best regards |

The simplest way is to create a virtual screen and open a PIP window for it (disable the title bar and window shadow) and then span the window across the two displays. To make this possible you also need to disable "Displays have separate Spaces" in Sytem Settings/Desktop & Dock. |

Hi Waydabber
I'm sorry, but I can't find the settings where I can change the language. At the same time, I don't think I could set up the dual screen I want, even if I changed the language to English.
I took some screenshots for you. Maybe you can see what I'm doing wrong and explain how I can configure the virtual screen correctly.
Many thanks and best regards!

I see. App language under can be changed under System Settings > General > Language & Region > Applications
