Hi there - I don't know of any built in mechanism for this. An app could be written for it but the general consensus is that warping the mouse around is probably more confusing than useful for most users, so I am not aware of a solution for this specific problem. I will convert this to a discussion, if you find a solution to this problem, you can post it here for others to see as well. :) |

Apologies if this is answered. I couldn't find it.
I have a MacBook Pro M4 base. I have an external monitor on the USB C port next to the MagSafe Adapter (I don't know if it is number 1 of the three USB C ports or number 3). The internal display is the default and the external display is extended. I can move the cursor from the internal display to the external display by moving the mouse to the left edge of the internal display screen and back again by moving the mouse to the right edge of the external display screen.
However, sometimes the edge does not work and the upper corner must be used. Ideally, I would like to set a control so that the cursor would appear on whatever display the app appears on. So, assuming that I have a mail client open on the internal display and a browser on the external display, when I enter ⌘ TAB to switch from mail to browser I want the cursor will move from the internal display to the external display along with the browser app becoming active.
As it is the browser becomes active but without a cursor the control switches back to the mail client.
Failing one shortcut to do both app switching and cursor transfer to/from the external monitor, I would want a command that could be made into a shortcut, say, for illustration, ^F7.
If there's a setting, just map me through the menu tree. If not, I'll go back to scratching my head as why something so simple as replacing a mouse movement with a keyboard shortcut is so hard to find.
Thanks.
