Auto adjust brightness is not working as expected and I need to manually increase brightness a lot

I always find myself needing to increase the brightness of my Macbook Pro M1.
When I set the brightness to something good for me and lock the laptop and unlock it again or even turn it away from the birth source it dimes itself to a point where I can't see anything on the screen anymore and I need to increase brightness manually again and again. This happened more rarely without BetterDisplay running.

I find my self needing to quite BetterDisplay often unless in very bright environment. Is there anything I can do?

Yes, I think the best approach is to disable Auto Brightness which uses the ambient light sensor to adjust the display's brightness. This usually works well but some might find it annoying. If you are using the app's brightness upscaling feature (for extra brightness), the system reducing brightness can be especially jarring.
