Can you make chorded/modal/nested mappings? #1812

Can you make nested mappings such as I like making "modes" in my tools as much as possible. Vim, tmux, i3, and ideally wezterm if it would be so kind. |

Can you give some concrete examples of the sort of thing you'd want to configure in wezterm? There's a lot of complexity around keyboard processing, both in terms of the OS specific parts and in terms of the configuration, so if we were to add something like this, it needs some careful thought around how the config looks and feels as well as how the feature actually gets implemented! I'm familiar with vim's modes, but I've never gone crazy with configuring keybindings in vim itself. I've not tried anything complex in tmux input configuration either, and I've never felt comfortable with i3, so: I just don't have a good sense of what sort of things you might configure or how that might look. |
