Well, the README says pretty clearly that it was removed from the Hub on Oracle's request.

There are still some oracle db docker images on the Hub, strange.

Meanwhile, Oracle's own docker images are available also on github:

I think they want you to accept the license agreement to the binaries via the webpage (agree not to publish benchmarks and whatnot). And Oracle image also requires you to build it by hand: https://github.com/oracle/docker-images/tree/master/OracleDatabase#building-oracle-database-docker-install-images

Those other images will probably be detected by their lawyers in the foreseeable future 🤐

The licence agreement includes a clause to not share the binaries at all, so all people that share it by publishing a final image violate their licence agreement and will be prosecuted accordingly.

I personally find this (wscherphof) version much better than the official images, because you can create a docker image with an already initialized database instance which speeds up deployment.
