First, to everyone who works on Xamarin, thank you for all that you do. This product has been immensely helpful to our company and we really appreciate the openness and continued improvements. I've been a fan of Xamarin for a long time and have continually recommended it to anyone who's asked for a recommendation on a mobile development platform to use. Unfortunately, I'm finding that I'm less and less comfortable recommending it given the quality issues I'm experiencing with it. It seems like every time I start to work on a new feature, I find myself working around numerous severe bugs. That is especially true for newer controls like the On twitter, I see a lot of fanfare about new features and the upcoming move to MAUI. That's all great, but I'm interested to know if there's any plan to address the severe quality issues with the Xamarin Platform. At this point, there is no feature that could be added to Xamarin / MAUI that I would prioritize over an effort to drastically reduce the bug debt. Are others in agreement? Does the team view this as a problem at all? I know that prioritization is incredibly hard and I'm sure you're all working with limited resources, especially given the constraints that COVID has placed on everyone so I hope this doesn't come off as insulting or flippant. Again, we really appreciate all of the work that you do. Really interested in thoughts from @samhouts and @davidortinau (and anyone else, of course). |

And, of course, as soon as I post this I stumble upon dotnet/maui#109. I'm guessing this is likely a duplicate of the discussion there that I'm reading now. Feel free to ignore / close this. |
