I think a devlog is partially supposed to be a way of sharing snapshots of the state of development of a project at any given moment in time, so having dates is quite helpful to get a feeling for how a project evolves.
Also, without dates there is the potential issue of a particular article becoming massively popular and getting a high search ranking, and later updates on the same topic being less likely show up in search engines than the article that is now outdated, and no easy way to tell which article is the right one.

I look for the dates in the devlog when trolling for new content to read. The blog entry is in the RSS feed, would be great to put it in the generated HTML as well.
Currently ziglang.org/news shows publication dates, but ziglang.org/devlog does not (beyond the year that an article was published in).
