On these pages we'll explain the tools and methods you will need to contribute to Crowd Sourced Science.
-
In order to contribute you'll need to have a GitHub account. If you have found your way to this wiki, you likely already have one, but just in case you don't, you can set one up for free here.
-
If you want to contribute more than a report or two you will need to fork the main repo, make your changes, and send a pull request to have your changes moderated and merged back into the main repo. Details on that process can be found here.
-
Be aware that by contributing you agree to license your contribution under the CC0 license. This is so that we can continue to offer CrowdSourcedScience openly under the CC BY-NC-SA license.
Once you have read over the requirements above you are ready to decide how you would like to add to CSS. There are 3 ways in which you can contribute:
- By adding new science reports
- By adding support for a new experiment
- By adding support for a new planet
