The Coordinate Wiki contains guidelines for Coordinate development. For information about how to use Coordinate, please see the user documentation.
Coordinate is an open-source Android app for sample organization and management. Coordinate is a highly-customizable data collection app that is based on defining templates and then collecting data in grids created from those templates. Two templates are included by default: Seed Tray and DNA Plate. Documentation for Coordinate can be found here.
Coordinate development began at Kansas State University in 2013 with a small award from the McKnight Foundation CCRP. An NSF award led to the creation of the PhenoApps project with a goal of developing different apps targeted to the unique data collection needs of plant breeders around the globe. The core team of developers now work in the Rife Lab at Clemson University, with a large community of contributors spread around the globe. We welcome contributions to any of the PhenoApps tools, including (Field Book, Intercross, and Prospector).
