Currently, the blog layout has the content reaching for the very ends of each side of the screen inducing eye strain having to read from left to right.
This change simply makes it easier to read the blog content on larger screens. Admittedly these changes could probably go a bit more extreme, but I chose not to so that its closer towards what we have in the project docs.
