AI Presets allow you to create your own chat templates. You can create new presets and specify the model, system instructions and creativity settings. Your presets can then be used in AI Chat, so you don't have to enter the same settings for every new chat.

Creating a preset

  • Launch the "Preferences" command
  • Select "Manage AI Presets"

And select "Create Preset" to get started.

Using a preset

To use a preset, just select the preset name when creating a new chat in AI Chat. You're good to go! Your custom settings will now be applied to this chat.

Editing a preset

There are various options for an AI Preset that you can edit - they are similar to those found in AI Chat settings.

  • Name
  • Provider
  • Web Search
    • Disabled
    • Automatic
    • Always
  • Creativity
  • System Prompt
  • Set as Default: If set, this AI preset will be selected by default when creating a new chat in AI Chat.
    • Note that only one AI preset should be set as default. If multiple default presets are found, the first one to appear in the list will be considered the default.
